Analysis
For the
spatial analysis task I took a completely different direction in regards to
space. I decided to start off with viewing small spaces therefore I used a cup
filled with water which I then poured paint into. I mixed blue acrylic paint
and water in order to get a better flow of paint via the water in the cup.
The main
concept and theme behind the analysis of the cup is circulation and how the
space gets filled with another substance in order to changer the context within
the space.
From the
outcome of the analysis I understood what was analysed throughout the process
of the task such as; speed, change of space, change of colour. The
characteristics of the space was changed therefore the whole identity of the
cup changed. By adding a different substance it was no longer a transparent cup
filled with water; which obviously still had a transparent content within the
cup.
As I poured
the paint into the centre of the cup; it flowed to the bottom and then filled
the outskirts of the cup, filling all the negative space.
